In the Bonneville attempt scene In the film, the Worlds fastest Indian directed by Rodger Donaldson, The director uses the sound in order to show Intensity and the character importance of the event. there are many different ways sound is used to prove the meaning for Burt to race his much loved “Indian” in a time scenario and that Burt is a much more experienced rider than he may look. The Director uses non-diegetic sound to intensify Burts handling run, we hear A slight change in music, gets faster the faster he goes around 75-90 mph also during the scene unlike the race on the beach. ( music changes into joyful and celebratory sound) when he overtakes the local bikers, In this scene there is zero change in the non-diegetic not changing when he takes off in the distance because his actual triumph is when he gets the go-ahead to race. showing the audience that what may look like a scene to celebrate that for Burt the deeper meaning is he will only celebrate when he gets thumbs up to the race.
