2 Quotes Act 2 Scene 4

you, sir, a word. And as I told you, my young lady
bade me inquire you out. What she bade me say, I will
keep to myself. But first let me tell you, if you
should lead her into a fool’s paradise, as they say, it
were a very gross kind of behavior, as they say. For
the gentlewoman is young; and therefore, if you
should deal double with her, truly it were an ill
thing to be offered to any gentlewoman, and very
weak dealing.

This quote is interesting Because it Romeo and Juliet use each others mentors (Juliet’s Nurse and Friar Laurence) for help as their Families (Montagues and Capulets) wouldn’t understand and would disallow the Marriage. This is Significant because The nurse is putting on her job on the line in order to help Juliet marry her ‘true love.’

Why, is not this better now than groaning
for love? now art thou sociable, now art thou
Romeo, now  art thou what thou art, by art as well as
by nature. For this driveling love is like a great
natural that runs lolling up and down to hide his
bauble in a hole.

Mercutio Believes that Romeo’s love for Juliet will affect the relationship between the boys. This is significant because we get the feeling that Mercutio will become more caring for Romeo instead of his kiddish way.
